FORMS & INFORMATION
All new candidates/returning members must meet AND maintain the following requirements in the following categories:
1. STANDARD ELIGIBILITY -Currently enrolled in a performing music ensemble class(2nd, 3rd, 4th year) -Have an A average in a Performing Music ensemble -Maintain at least a cumulative B average overall 2. AUDITION -Pass the Audition with an *approved vocal/instrumental solo, duet, or small ensemble piece. *Solo works with accompaniment part MUST be performed with accompanist. Accompaniment may be pre-recorded with prior approval from Ms. Fernandes. 3. RECITAL PERFORMANCE -Perform at a scheduled Tri-M recital 4. ATTENDANCE -Attend all Tri-M meetings and recitals -Absences are unexcused. -Email [email protected] in exceptional circumstances. 5. COMMUNITY SERVICE -Complete at least 7 hours of music related community service. -Opportunities will be available throughout the school year. 6. HONOR SOCIETY CHARACTER -Judgment of character should be free of speculation and rumor. -Demonstrates the attitude and character of an honor student: respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship |
Applications must be submitted by date TBD to be considered for a position on the Board. After review, students are appointed to each officer position.
1. PRESIDENT -Appointed by Chapter Advisor after review of application -MUST BE a returning member -Presides over meetings of the Chapter -Prepares an agenda for the meetings -Representative and spokesperson of the Chapter -Facilitates Formation of Chapter Goals -Provides motivation and encouragement to fellow officers and members 2. VICE-PRESIDENT -Publicizes meeting and chapter activities to ensembles -Helps organize Induction Ceremony -Secondary representative of the Chapter -Assist the Chapter President with their duties 3. SECRETARY -Records the chapter minutes -Handles correspondence for the chapter -Helps organize Induction Ceremony with Vice-President -Assist with collection of Member Dues and Applications 4. TREASURER -Maintains records of Membership Dues -Prepares a Chapter Roster 5. HISTORIAN -Keeps a record of Chapter Activities -Spread awareness of the chapter and encourage membership -Communicate with Alumni to be featured on Chapter website 6. COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER -Helps Organize & Announce upcoming Service Opportunities -Assist with collection of Community Service Forms at meetings -Assist with Membership Service Log & Communication |
