1. When can students apply for Tri-M Honor Society?
Students must be invited to be considered for membership.
An invitation is sent to eligible sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
Applications will be accepted in the month of October.
Returning Member Dues - $6
New Applicant Dues - $12
2. What are the requirements students must meet to be considered for Tri-M membership?
-Currently enrolled in a performing music ensemble class.
-Have an A average in a performing music ensemble.
-Maintain at least a cumulative B average overall.
-Demonstrates the attitude and character of an honor student.

3. I got an invitation, what should I do next?
-Complete the Membership Application. (see "Membership")
-Plan to audition with a solo piece that features your voice/instrument.
-See "Auditions" for deadlines and details.
4. What type of repertoire/genre of music is appropriate for an audition?
-Select music that features your voice/instrument
-Broadway/Pop songs are not appropriate
-Talk to your music director if you need help.

5. What are audition requirements?
-Submit an image/PDF of your selected audition piece in the "Audition" post in Google Classroom.
-Record and upload a video of your performance to the aforementioned post.
-Check audio quality before submitting. DO NOT EDIT VIDEOS.
-Occasionally, Google Classroom will crash. Please don't wait until the last minute to upload your video.

6. Do I need to have accompaniment for my solo piece?
Yes, if the piece you select has an accompaniment part, it is required.
You may use a pre-recorded accompaniment track for the audition and the recital.
7. I want to perform in a small ensemble, but can't rehearse in person because of COVID-19. What should I do?
-Contact Mrs. Fernandes and communicate in a timely manner.
-Application Form due November 4th.
-Returning Member Audition VIDEO Deadline - November 18th
-New Member Applicant Audition VIDEO Deadline - December 2nd
8. I cannot attend a recital. What should I do?
-Contact Mrs. Fernandes and communicate in a timely manner.
-Be mindful of the scheduled recitals dates and avoid scheduling appointments at that time.
9. Once a member, what are the requirements to maintain membership?
-Currently be enrolled in a Performing Music Ensemble with an A average.
-Have at least a B overall average.
- Pass the Audition. Perform at a Recital.
- Attend all Recitals and Meetings.
- Complete Community Service Requirements.
